Actor Colton Haynes, best known for roles on buzzy, popular series like “Arrow” and Teen Wolf,” officially came out of the closet in an interview released today with’s Marc Snetiker.

While rumors have circulated over the years, Haynes has never talked about his sexuality publicly, though he states in the article he’s never really been in the closet. “I should have made a comment or a statement,” he said in the EW story, “but I just wasn’t ready. I didn’t feel like I owed anyone anything. I think in due time, everyone has to make those decisions when they’re ready, and I wasn’t yet. But I felt like I was letting people down by not coming forward with the rest of what I should have said.”

Also in the article, he talks about his lifelong struggle with anxiety as well as why he stepped away from two hot series. He left “Teen Wolf” to join the CW’s “Arrow” cast but left the series last year. The actor also appeared for the second time on an episode of Fox’s “The Grinder” as the son of star Rob Lowe.
