After a successful awards show in Los Angeles last month, it’s time for the GLAAD Media Awards to take on the Big Apple TONIGHT!.

What exactly are the GLAAD Media Awards? Per the GLAAD website, “The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives.”

Two of the major award winners this Saturday at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel are Mariah Carey being awarded the Ally Award and Robert De Niro receiving the Excellence in Media Award. The evening will also see many award winners in the many journalism categories.

An added bonus? Just as we did with the LA Awards, I’ll be on the red carpet starting at 5pm ET on Saturday grabbing interviews as well as live tweeting from the XFINITY Twitter handle. Make sure to follow us on Twitter to see all the action that goes down on the carpet.
