“Survivor: David vs. Goliath” Power Rankings Round 9: The Excitement Has Not Been Nullified Edition

“Survivor: David vs. Goliath” (CBS)

QUICK NOTE: XFINITY.com is the place to be for all of your bug-eatin’, back-stabbin’, “Survivor” coverage. During the season we’ll have insightful weekly Power Rankings with Bradley Kleihege, exit interviews, and full episode recaps. Follow me on Twitter (@gordonholmes) for up-to-the-minute updates.

The Rules: Each week our two combatants will create separate power rankings. The ranking of the person who is voted out of the next episode will determine the number of points the players will earn. For example, if Alec is voted out this episode, Bradley will receive two points and Gordon will receive ten points. At the end of the season, the person with the most points will be named the “Survivor: David vs. Goliath” Power Rankings Challenge Champion.

Last Week: Bradley Kleihege had Dan in spot eleven, Gordon Holmes had him in spot nine. So, the current score is Team Bradley 87, Team Gordon 95.

Quick Note: Rankings are not based on who the player thinks is most likely to win. The smart strategy is to rank players based on how safe you think they are in the upcoming vote.

Bradley’s Score: 87

1. Kara: She is proving aware and flexible while furthering what she wants. 1. Alison: Alison’s theme this season has been the person who says they’re going to make a move without making any moves. This strategy has cost her a chance to work with the Davids and makes her look like less of a threat. Her best-case scenario is third place.
2. Alec: Is he the most well-spoken surfer bro character we have had on the show? 2. Kara: Yes, two people are going home Wednesday, but there’s no reason to target her any time soon.
3. Alison: Definitely still not an exciting player, but definitely not a dumb one. 3. Nick: With all of these big moves that’ve been happening, Nick hasn’t taken any of the heat. On one hand that’s good because if things go south for the Davids, Christian will go before he does. On the other, Christian would totally beat him in the end.
4. Mike: Quiet episode and not on anyone’s radar. Safe. 4. Davie: That David alliance is just firing on all cylinders, using all of their powers to take down the Goliaths. Buuuut…Davie…which of your buddies can you beat at the end? It’s not too early to be thinking about that.
5. Nick: Christian appears to be the face of the Davids but I think Nick is actually the leader of the Davids. A bit worried with how open he was that a faction of the Davids had been hiding their advantages from the others. 5. Mike: Mike’s been doing his best to wave the “Goliath Strong” banner, but now he finds himself with a straight five-five split. And Angelina might not love that his buddies voted for her. Nobody is targeting him this week, but he needs to figure out a Plan B, quickly.
6. Davie: An idol-slinging underdog. 6. Angelina: The Jacket-less Wonder might find herself as the swing vote this week. If so, she should commit quickly. Those who float back and forth can find themselves in trouble.
7. Carl: Still a bit confused as to how he knew who to nullify but I am impressed nonetheless. Was this the worst episode all season though… further proving less advantages (+ great casting) = superior “Survivor”? 7. Carl: First Elizabeth, now Gabby? Carl just can’t stay friends with his alliance-mates.
8. Gabby: I’m beginning to be of the opinion that Christian and Gabby are so dramatic they are great shields for the other Davids to safely machinate behind. 8. Christian: You’re never going to be safe. Everyone appreciates that there isn’t a single person left in this game who can beat you at a final Tribal Council.
9. Christian: Target is solidly on his back, how long can he keep navigating out from under the snuffer? 9. Gabby: This Carl/Gabby feud could be really bad news for Gabs. Remember, Nick was gunning for her earlier on.
10. Angelina: One minute I find her completely irredeemable and the next I’m having a blast rooting against Angelina the TV character. 10. Alec: You’re the last challenge stud left standing and the Davids know you’ve got a good mind for strategy.
