QUICK NOTE: XFINITY.com is the place to be for all of your bug-eatin’, back-stabbin’, “Survivor” coverage. During the season we’ll have insightful weekly Power Rankings with Reem Daly and Aubry Bracco, exit interviews, and full episode recaps. Follow me on Twitter (@gordonholmes) for up-to-the-minute news.
The Rules: Each week our combatants will create separate power rankings. The ranking of the person who is voted out of the next episode will determine the number of points the players will earn. For example, if Dan is voted out this episode, Reem and Aubry will receive twelve points and Gordon will receive ten points. At the end of the season, the team with the most points will be named the “Survivor: Island of the Idols” Power Rankings Challenge Champion!
Last Week: Reem Daly and Aubry Bracco had Jason in spot one, while Gordon Holmes had him in spot three. So, the current score is Team EOE: 38, Team Holmes 45.
Quick Note: Rankings are not based on who the player thinks is most likely to win. The smart strategy is to rank players based on how safe you think they are in the upcoming vote.
Reem and Aubry’s Score: 38
Gordon’s Score: 45

Aubry: She seems like the glue in the group right now. Let’s hope it stays that way, because sometimes the guy in the middle of the road gets run over.
Reem: It’s nice to finally see people share what they both experienced on Island of the Idols. A shared experience can lead to a good partnership down the line.
1. Jamal: You’ve got the numbers, but you also know you’ve still got a target on your back. You’re not going to be afraid to bust out that idol if you’re feeling nervous. Add to that, what feels like a genuine friendship between you and Jack, and you have a player that is becoming a force to be reckoned with.
Reem: I don’t blame you for not fist-bumping. At least your originals trust you.
Aubry: I am here to watch the rest of Aaron’s game – he’s got his own style, and every season needs a touch of chaos!
2. Jack: It’s weird to focus on the game implications of last week’s conversation between Jack and Jamal, but that could have been a disaster for both of them. The maturity and willingness to be open and honest it took to have that discussion probably helped cement a real bond.
Reem: Smart. Aware. I hope she goes really far – I like her a lot.
Aubry: I agree – I’m glad to see you didn’t have a schism with Aaron and Elizabeth this week.
3. Elizabeth: You know what everyone learned last week? A single trip to the Island of the Idols can turn the game on its head. In other news, Elizabeth and Elaine working together was a thing of beauty. Well done.
Reem: I’m interested to see how it plays out and where his cards fall during the next tribe shakeup or merge.
Aubry: I’m with you. Time will tell.
4. Janet: There are all kinds of options to target around Lairo, and they all make sense. But, nobody is targeting Janet. She’s safe till the merge.
Reem: I’ve been thinking about her raw moment. I’m sure that was hard to watch. I hope that she goes far.
Aubry: Sometimes keeping out of the limelight in challenges is just as good as a good performance. I’m rooting for you. Keep it up.
5. Missy: When faced with being on the bottom of a dominant classic Vokai or taking the numbers on her new tribe, Missy decided to stick with the devil she knows. In hindsight, this was a great move. If Aaron had gone home, she very well could have been next. Now there are much bigger fish to fry than her.
Reem: I was glad he was able to share and have a difficult conversation. It shows vulnerability. Thank you for being open – it’s never too late to educate.
Aubry: I complete agree – he seems like an amazing person and his ability to communicate in a tough moment was masterful.
6. Kellee: It’s going to be a wild one the next time Lairo goes to Tribal. But, you’ve got an idol (don’t you?) and there are much more immediate threats.
Reem: Great enthusiasm — keeping it Lairo strong. Great job on the block.
Aubry: I love Elaine’s spirit and go-get it nature. It’s also not a bad sign that Elizabeth seems to have her back.
7. Elaine: Little known fact; Elaine wasn’t the target last week until she showed off her advantage at Tribal. Aaron was the actual target. If he flipped, he would have left the game. But, classic Vokai knows you’re here to play now.
Reem: Noura’s not fronting anything. She is who she is. I appreciate it, and I love it.
Aubry: I just love Noura. I am #HereForIt.
8. Aaron: You were really close to being a goner last week, and I’m not sure you are even aware of it. And if classic Vokai manages to find an idol, I’d imagine you’d find yourself in even more danger.
Reem: Kellee is good, but they might start seeing her as a huge threat.
Aubry: She’s keeping it even keel. She’s involved at camp and seems to be good with the majority. Well done.
9. Lauren: Oof…Elaine’s trip to the Island of the Idols sunk what was a pretty solid plan. You aren’t the biggest threat left, hopefully that’s enough to buy you some time.
Reem: Not much to report. Stay strong. Good job.
Aubry: She was quiet, but that’s still not a bad thing. We still have a long way to go.
10. Dan: Digging through people’s bags? Haven’t you learned to keep your hands to yourself?
Aubry: You’re still hanging in there. Keep it up – “Survivor” can flip on a dime and you could be in the majority next week.
Reem: Good job. I’m glad your D1 basketball came in handy.
11. Dean: Noura’s horrible, very-bad, not-good strategy should work in your favor. Buuut…the fact that classic Lairo just took the numbers on the other side might cause you some trouble.
Reem: He’s good at challenges – I think he’s making it to the merge and to the top 10!
Aubry: Nothing too flashy from Dan last week – interested if he keeps this low-key vibe working, because it’s working for him.
12. Karishma: I’d bet that new Lairo loved not going to Tribal last week. That’s not going to be good for you.
Reem: Be careful what you say. Everybody is smart enough and pretty enough. That wasn’t cool. I guess she proved you wrong.
Aubry: It wasn’t her best week, but I think she can pull it together next week.
13. Tommy: Missy might be sick of “Ls”, but she might be willing to take a few if it gets her to the merge with more classic Lairo members. Also, gutsy of you to give Aaron the death stare after you had been spending your afternoon planning to get rid of him.
Reem: He had a beautiful, coachable moment with Jamal and accepted it. If only most folks his age were that mature.
Aubry: I’m completely with you – I love that he didn’t get defensive.
14. Noura: OK, you want to get rid of Jamal. I get that. But, Dean is going to grab any lifeline that’s extended to him, whenever it’s extended to him. Why ask him when you don’t know if you’re going to Tribal? Of course he goes right to Jamal with that information.
